TAG is the Jewish Community Supplementary High School that serves students in Grades 8 to 12 in the Greater Vancouver Area.
It is an educational and social program for teens that promotes experiential learning and critical thinking. TAG is a student-centered community of Jewish teens from different backgrounds who come together for a few hours each week to learn about and experience Judaism and its relevance in today’s world.
Our goal at TAG is to create an active learning community. Students have the opportunity to grow in understanding, appreciation and application of Jewish knowledge, practice and values. The hope is to empower our youth as informed global citizens and solidify their Jewish identity and pride. Issues addressed at TAG reflect what is happening in our lives, in our community and in our world.
TAG offers teens a wide variety of exciting education opportunities. Grade classes allow students to work as a class on a Jewish theme appropriate to their grade level. Semester long electives provide an opportunity for students to choose from one of the great specialty topics offered each semester and to study and work with students at all grade levels. Special programming, field trips and community events all students to take advantage of many of the opportunities Vancouver has to offer.
TAG is a vibrant, pluralistic community and is a wonderful opportunity for students from across the Jewish community to connect, socialize, develop skills, meet new people and work on your sense of self. More than anything, TAG is a welcoming and fun environment and a great place to be!
